Starting next month, Apple will begin rolling out Apple Intelligence, a new AI-powered personal assistant integrated into iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Designed to enhance user experience, it offers tools for writing, summarizing emails, organizing photos, and more, all while protecting privacy. Key features include a refined Siri with natural language understanding, a Clean Up tool for photos, and the ability to transcribe and summarize audio in Notes and Phone apps.
The system, which runs on Apple silicon, combines on-device processing with Private Cloud Compute for complex tasks, ensuring user data remains private. Available in U.S. English first, Apple Intelligence will expand to other English-speaking countries and additional languages in 2025.
It will be accessible via a free update to iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, starting with iPhone 16 models and Macs with M1 chips or later.
